Where do you live (City, State, or Country)? United kingdom, Brighton
Your script stood out among hundreds of others. What was the inspiration for your story and why did you write a script instead of a short story or a novel? What inspires your overall journey into screenwriting? I’m inspired to see my screenplay on the big screen some day where people watch the words that I have written and feel emotionally connected in some way towards them and towards the story. The inspiration for my story was loosely based off some experiences I had when I was in high school as well as emotions or circumstances that I imagined happening, as well as stories that I overheard when in high school.
What is your typical writing routine? How do you structure your workday to stay productive? I start by brainstorming ideas until I have the main beats of my story panned out. From there I continue to write through my story creating smaller beats within the Acts as action points within the story,
How long did it take you to write your script...and what is your writing process? Do you outline...use index cards...white board...or just start with FADE IN? Around 3 months.
How do you handle writer's block or moments of doubt (we all have them) during your creative process? I just continue to write anything to continue the story and then circle back when re-writing to fully see how the story now looks.
What tools or software do you find essential to your workflow as a screenwriter? Final Draft
How do you approach competition entries, and what have you learned from participating in these contests? Which contests have you entered...and how has your work been received overall? Have those contests been helpful to you in your writing? Overall my work can be improved but from entering competitions and gaining feedback I’m hopeful for the future outcome of my screenplays.
If you are balancing your “writing time” with a “day job”...how are you managing that? I ensure I set aside time for my writing and I will ensure that I set goals for myself to hit to ensure that it gets finished.

What is your ultimate ambition as a writer? For people to really resonate with the stories that I write and to leave with a lasting impression from them.
The film and television industry is constantly evolving. How do you see the role of screenwriters changing, especially with the rise of streaming platforms and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence? Have you used A.I. in your writing; if so, how have you used it? I have not used A.I in my writing but I see the role of screenwriters still being just as important because no matter how the industry changed human imagination can never be fully changed and the words written by a person hold more value than anything else.
Which film or television writers inspire you? Why? Tarantino and Damien Chazelle, their screenplays are unique and inspiring especially the commercial success that they have gained.
