The Midwest.....for now! Your script or media entry stood out among hundreds of others. What was the inspiration for your project ? Did you ever see an actor in a film from years ago and say to yourself " I wonder where they went!" Then you proceed to look them up and they have been "canceled"! That's where it started. How long did it take you to write your script or produce your pitch deck/sizzle reel/trailer...and what was your development process? My first pitch deck, a sprawling eight-pager, fell flat. Then I found Alyse. Her expertise transformed my concept into a stunning presentation in just weeks. She's incredibly talented and a true professional. What is your ultimate ambition as a writer or filmmaker? I crave stories that claw at the soul and that resonate with a deep seated truth. I hunger to be part of films that don't just entertain, but that burrow into your mind, twisting the familiar into something unsettling, something unforgettable. Films that leave you breathless, haunted, questioning everything you thought you knew. I want to breathe life into characters so complex, so flawed, so achingly human, that their triumphs and failures resonate long after the credits roll. I want to create narratives that shake you to your core, stories that demand to be felt, not merely witnessed. Which film directors or screenwriters inspire you? Why? Honestly I don't have a favorite! What’s your all-time favorite movie or television show? There's just too many to name! But right now I'm really into Squid Games and The Handmaid's Tale currently. What advice do you have for others hoping to win a contest or place as a finalist as you have? Trust your gut. Dare to be genuine, to champion a conviction unique to you, even if it stands alone.
