Your script or media entry stood out among hundreds of others. What was the inspiration for your project ?
The mental health crisis in this country, as well as my own experiences.
 
How long did it take you to write your script or produce your pitch deck/sizzle reel/trailer...and what was your development process?
It took years developing the characters, crafting the outline and countless rewrites.
           
What is your ultimate ambition as a writer or filmmaker?
To be collaborating with fellow writers on a TV show -- ideally back in a writers’ room!
 
Which film directors or screenwriters inspire you? Why?
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Greta Gerwig and Mike White are some of my favorite writers because of the tone they create, blending darker themes with comedy.
 
What’s your all-time favorite movie or television show?
The Comeback (HBO) is brilliantly uncomfortable.
 
What advice do you have for others hoping to win a contest or place as a finalist as you have?
Keep writing and putting your work out there.
 
What else are you working on that the world needs to know about?
I’m an executive producer/co-writer on the TV show Day Jobs, a half-hour rom com about a queer standup comedian, who falls for the mom she babysits for, while juggling the heartless LA comedy scene and trying to stay best friends with her ex-boyfriend. Also in development is a TV pilot that I’m currently writing called The Sweet Spot, a 1-hour satirical, soapy drama about a family-run multi-level marketing company that sells adult toys, while promoting the façade of female empowerment, but really pushing their consultants to ruthlessly compete against one another. Think Succession meets On Becoming a God in Central Florida and the LuLaRich documentary.
